We are excited to introduce Colorado Music Institute’s Exclusive Immersion Experience with the Arapahoe Philharmonic!

Arapahoe Philharmonic

CMI students have a unique and exclusive experience to immerse themselves in the orchestra for Beethoven’s Overture to Creatures of Prometheus.  

On April 26th from 5:30 – 6:30pm, CMI students will have a private session with the Arapahoe Philharmonic, conductor Devin Patrick Hughes, and the principal musicians from the orchestra.  They will practice Beethoven’s Overture to Creatures of Prometheus together and have the opportunity to meet the principal musicians one-on-one.  From 6:30-7:00, the students will have refreshments and prepare to be seated for the big rehearsal at 7:00 pm, where the students will be seated amongst the orchestra for their respective sections and hear the awesome and powerful sounds of the orchestra.  They will see how the conductor, concertmaster and orchestra work together to bring the audience an amazing performance!

Cost:  $50 per student. Includes immersion experience at the April 26th rehearsal, student’s ticket to April 29th concert at 7pm, and includes 10% off all adult tickets for student’s family and friends.

When: April 26th rehearsal, 5:30pm-6:30pm and 7pm-8:00pm & attendance to April 29th concert at 7pm.

Who is eligible:  Any CMI student age 6+ is eligible for this opportunity, even if they do not play an instrument for the piece.  If they do play any of the following instruments, are 6 years or older, (beginner to advanced) they may work on the song (music provided) with their instructor during their private lessons and play amongst the orchestra at the 5:30 rehearsal time:

Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Trumpet, Trombone, Timpani, Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass
