I’m Cynthia Alvarez and I’ve been teaching music for over ten years. I grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado, graduated from Colorado State University, and absolutely love living in this beautiful state! My favorite place is Horsetooth Reservoir, and I also love visiting Rocky Mountain National Park.  Throughout my life I’ve traveled to several different countries, and I actually lived in the country of Colombia for over six years, where my two daughters were born. My favorite pastimes are reading great books, listening to Irish music, and playing guitar!  

I have been teaching music ever since graduating from college. I started first at a local music institute, where I taught piano and guitar, then went on to establish my own teaching studio from home. I have taught students from age 3 to age 70, and every level in between, from beginner to advanced and even college level.
