Women Impressionist Composers Concert
Notable and Upcoming: a performance of music by Women Impressionist composers (Femmepressionists!) on March 8, 7:00 PM at the Washington Park Music and Arts Center (the Washington Park Church of Christ) at 400 S. Williams St., Denver, CO. Our own Grace Christus will be accompanying soprano Amy Maples in a 13 song cycle “Clairieres dans le Ciel” by Lili Boulanger. Also on the program Grace will play one of her compositions, and harpist Jenna Hunt will play a Sonata by Germaine Tailleferre.
The music will be augmented by a slide show of Women Impressionist paintings. Children are welcome as there will be a table with paper and crayons for the kids to express what they hear in drawings.
